Tom and his wife Joan have served RCF for 26 years, the last 20 as part of the pastoral team. Tom says he was prepared for ministry through the teaching and mentoring received while a student at Capernwray Bible College and from the practical experience of 21 years working for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He says “everything I needed to know about people I learned on the railroad.” Tom and Joan have served as Sunday school teachers, Deacons, and Tom has filled various pastoral positions, most recently as Pastor of Adult Ministries while Joan has had a 3 morning a week pre school class for 17 years.
Married in Ireland 36 years ago, they have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Tom and Joan both love to read, travel, enjoy God’s magnificent creation and believe that the skies in Reno are the most spectacular of anyplace they have been. Their favorite pastime is time being together and they want their life, work and home to be an expression of the phrase “Jesus Christ, nothing more, nothing less, nothing else.”
